Media Rules & Regulations
1. Mission Alignment & Institutional Integrity
Not For Profit exists to raise awareness of the hidden atrocities of human trafficking by transforming fashion, modeling, and media into platforms for advocacy, education, and systemic change.
All participation, content creation, partnerships, and operational decisions must:

Align with the organization’s humanitarian mandate.

Protect the dignity of survivors and vulnerable populations.

Avoid sensationalism, exploitation, or mission dilution.

Preserve reputational integrity and public trust.
Any action that compromises these standards may result in removal from participation.
2. Participation Standards
2.1 Eligibility
All media participants (photographers, videographers, journalists, influencers, content creators) must:

Agree in writing to abide by these policies.

Respect the dignity, safety, and autonomy of all individuals involved in organizational initiatives.

Approval to participate is at the sole discretion of Not For Profit.
2.2 Safety & Anti-Exploitation Policy

Participant safety is paramount, especially for minors and vulnerable adults.

Harassment, discrimination, coercion, or exploitation of any form is strictly prohibited.

Any indication of illegal activity must be reported immediately to appropriate authorities.

Zero tolerance applies.
2.3 Minors & Guardianship

Participation by minors requires the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

A signed parental consent and media release form is mandatory prior to participation.

Media capture involving minors must adhere to heightened safeguarding protocols.
3. Media & Content Governance
3.1 Media Access & Conduct at Events
Due to venue limitations and guest experience considerations:

Media participation is limited and pre-approved.
-
Content creators must remain mindful of audience visibility and event flow.
-
Obstruction of paid guests, speakers, or performers is prohibited.
-
Professional conduct and spatial awareness are required at all times.
3.2 Content Delivery Requirements (Volunteer Media)
For approved volunteer photographers and videographers:

All content must be delivered via Dropbox, Google Drive, or mutually agreed platform.

Delivery deadline: 14 calendar days post-event.
-
Timeliness is essential for promotional continuity and advocacy momentum.

Failure to meet deadlines may affect future participation eligibility.
3.3 Usage Rights & Organizational Ownership

Participation implies consent for photography and videography unless opted out in writing prior to the event.
-
All captured media becomes property of Not For Profit.

The organization retains unrestricted rights to use, edit, reproduce, distribute, and publish content for promotional, educational, advocacy, archival, or fundraising purposes.

Attribution may be provided when feasible but is not guaranteed due to volume and repurposing across campaigns.
3.4 No Watermarks / No Usage Restrictions

Submitted media may not include watermarks.

Content must not carry licensing restrictions that limit organizational use.

Participation constitutes agreement to unrestricted nonprofit usage.
3.5 Volunteer Status & Compensation

Media participation is voluntary unless otherwise contracted in writing.

No financial compensation will be provided for coverage, editing, or deliverables.

Post-event invoicing for volunteer work is prohibited.

Participation is mutually beneficial: creators expand their portfolios while supporting a humanitarian cause.
3.6 Copyright & Fair Use
All creative content must be submitted to the designated Not For Profit team for approval before public posting.
Unauthorized use of third-party copyrighted materials is prohibited.
Licensing documentation or proof of original creation must be maintained when applicable.
4. Privacy & Data Protection
The organization adheres to applicable privacy and data protection laws, including CAN-SPAM and related regulations.
Personal data will not be sold, rented, or shared with unauthorized third parties.
Sensitive participant information must be handled with confidentiality and discretion.
5. Social Media & External Communications
5.1 Representation Policy
Official posts must align with organizational tone, mission, and messaging guidelines.
Individuals posting on personal accounts must clarify that their views are personal unless explicitly authorized as official representatives.
5.2 Responsible Engagement

Use consistent branding and mission-aligned messaging.

Avoid dissemination of misleading or unverified information.

Do not discuss confidential or sensitive internal matters publicly.

Engage criticism with professionalism; avoid public disputes that undermine advocacy efforts.
5.3 Crisis Communication Protocol

A designated spokesperson will manage crisis communications.

During reputational threats or emergencies, established internal protocols must be followed.

Unauthorized public statements during crisis situations are prohibited.
6. Event Conduct & Professionalism
6.1 Behavioral Standards

All participants, staff, volunteers, partners, and media must:

Act with professionalism, respect, and integrity.

Adhere to the organization’s Code of Conduct.

Refrain from harassment, discrimination, abuse, or unsafe behavior.
6.2 Venue & Accessibility

Events must:

Maintain safe, inclusive, and accessible environments.

Comply with applicable safety regulations and disability access standards.
6.3 Unrelated Business Activities

Revenue-generating activities outside the core humanitarian mission (e.g., commercial advertising) must:

Be evaluated and documented.

Avoid jeopardizing nonprofit compliance.

Consider potential unrelated business income tax (UBIT) implications.
7. Agreement & Enforcement
Participation in any Not For Profit initiative constitutes agreement to these Rules, Regulations, and Operational Standards.
These policies exist to protect:

Failure to adhere to these standards may result in immediate removal from participation and potential legal action where applicable.
